Hemispheres recently self-funded a survey of Washington State adults to understand attitudes, beliefs, and consumption rates of cannabis.  Since Washington is on the forefront of legal cannabis, learn what residents in our state think about this issue.

Amanda Dawson is a Seattle native and Seattle Academy graduate who continued her studies at Gonzaga University’s Department of Psychology.

Amanda designed and led two psychological research projects during her time at Gonzaga concerning the effects of parenting styles on adolescent attachment and the effects of low-arousal spacing tasks on creative problem-solving, as well as a sociological ethnography on the  ’stoner’ subcultures of the university.  She presented the results of her studies at the Spokane Intercollegiate Research Conference in both 2011 and 2012.

After graduating from Gonzaga in 2012, Amanda worked as a Toddler Teacher in the Capitol Hill neighborhood for a number of years before being hired at Hemispheres in 2014 to continue her work in research.
