    Northwest Insights is looking for a Project Manager to join our team. This role will work with clients and internal staff to coordinate various types of qualitative market research studies successfully. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to ensure our projects run on-time, on-budget, and with the highest level of service to our clients. 


    Project Management

    • Work with clients to manage qualitative research projects from start to finish. Manage the day-to-day progress of research projects assigned.
    • Manage project budget and negotiate with client on adjustments if needed.
    • Work with division team regarding recruiting process, including meeting client’s criteria.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal team.
    • Ability to edit documents with a high level of detail and accuracy.
    • Oversee the quality of recruits, ensuring respondents fit into the spirit of the project.
    • Write/review and consult with clients regarding research materials.
    • Manage project billing and related follow through to close out projects.
    • Additional administrative duties, as needed: facility needs, host instructions, project set up (fielding instructions, screener as needed etc).           

    Sales and Marketing

    • Provide clients with cost quotations and information regarding services.
    • Assist Director of Division with marketing efforts as needed.


    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 1 or more year(s) of experience in Market Research preferred.
    • Social media and marketing experience a plus (Facebook, Constant Contact, Survey Gizmo, etc).
    • Exceptional customer service skills required.
    • Extremely high attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
    • Ability to multitask and successfully handle multiple projects and various tight deadlines.
    • Ability to work independently and creatively solve problems.
    • Ability to interact with clients in a professional manner over the telephone, email and in person.

    Project Manager - Consumer Brand Research

    Location: Seattle, WA


    The role of a Research Project Manager is to oversee the set up and management of qualitative and quantitative research projects to ensure successful completion within H&P Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This will require working closely with research teams, clients, field partners, facilities, data management centers, and other external suppliers/partners. You will be expected to contribute to the company’s operational processes by providing proactive ideas and plans about improving the efficiency of the project management function and by supporting operational initiatives.


    • Set-up and manage projects spanning from ad-hoc to tracking studies across a range of qualitative and quantitative methodologies
    • Act as an expert to support researchers and other project management team members for methodology, sampling and supplier selection in markets
    • Cover full project management, including not just the research team and the suppliers, but also liaising professionally with clients and taking a key role in status meetings and providing updates on fieldwork, timelines, deliverables, etc.
    • Provide full costs and timings for new business proposals or existing projects
    • Drive adherence to H&P Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) within the research teams
    • Identify further areas for efficiency and profitability of projects
    • Maintain and update databases of recommended field partners and contribute to managing suppliers’ best practice
    • Provide expertise and proactive guidance as to how to be as operationally efficient as possible
    • Mentor, develop and train more junior members of staff on the research teams
    • Support the wider operations and research teams with any training and implementing of operational initiatives


    • 2+ years of experience in the domain of project management in a market research environment, including project setup, field management, and schedule management
    • Experience with multiple methodologies, including online and in-person focus groups, in-depth interviews, and quantitative surveys
    • Excellent knowledge of multiple types of studies, including concept testing, creative development, pre-testing, and continuous tracking
    • Excellent project management skills, managing the end-to-end project life cycle with multi-market and complex studies
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while sticking to deadlines and achieving a high quality output
    • Ability to work effectively across all levels including senior leadership
    • Experience in managing external suppliers
    • Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence others within areas of responsibility
    • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail and time management
    • Dedicated to quality and responsiveness with a focus on processes and efficiency
    • Ability to champion methodological choices with clients and teammates and identify potential pitfalls in clients’ briefs/requests

    Blink is looking for a UX Research Director to join our Seattle team. This individual will lead research projects that employ a variety of methods to address client UX needs and opportunities. As a UX research strategist, this person will frequently propose and scope client projects.  We are seeking a thought leader with previous consulting and team management experience as well as a track record of delivering compelling research findings and recommendations to clients.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Direct a small team of researchers, supporting their growth and development at the company through coaching and mentoring.
    • Participate in client meetings with Blink’s client engagement team members as a subject matter expert. Scope and propose specific research projects that address client needs. 
    • Lead multiple research projects with Blink researchers and Project Managers. 
    • Provide input and substantive feedback to team members as they plan, moderate, and create deliver findings reports from research studies. Ensure that project outcomes and deliverables meet Blink’s high quality standards.
    • Understand the business goals of clients while advocating for well-crafted and enjoyable user experiences.
    • Provide input about project team resourcing such that Blink teams are organized to best serve client and project needs.
    • Work with the Head of Research and other Blink Research Directors to grow and fine-tune the company’s research practice.
    • Identify opportunities to build awareness, credibility, and reputation through direct communication with potential clients as well as through outward communication channels.
    • Lead company initiatives on special topics of interest or new services.

    Job Qualifications

    • Formal education in a relevant field such as human-centered design, cognitive psychology, information science, or equivalent hands-on experience to demonstrate an understanding of usability theory, methods, and practices. Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) is a plus.
    • Deep knowledge of current UX research methods and tools and ability to prescribe single or mixed research methods depending on research questions.
    • 8+ years of experience designing and conducting a wide range of UX research activities. 
    • Excellent presentation and written communication skills.
    • Ability to articulate the value of user experience research and design to clients and executives.
    • Demonstrated thought leadership through public speaking or writing.
    • Experience working directly with clients in a consulting role, including leading client meetings.
    • Experience managing and leading other researchers.
    • Proven ability to communicate recommended design solutions for observed UX issues.
    • Working knowledge of technology constraints and capabilities.
    • Direct experience with user-centered design projects.
    • UX design experience is a plus.

    • o   Minimum of one-year experience analyzing quantitative respondent-level survey data.  A working knowledge of marketing research questionnaire design and sample selection is required.  Knowledge of NPS is a plus
    • o   Ability to synthesize and distill large amounts of qualitative survey comments (verbatims) into themes.  Familiarity with machine learning tools and/or text analytics a plus.
    • ·       Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI 
    • ·       Ability to prioritize and manage assignments to meet deadlines and establish solid relationships.
