    Strategist

    Hemispheres Marketing Research

    The Strategist at Hemispheres is responsible for managing and supporting multiple research projects from end-to-end.  Candidates must demonstrate excellent project management and client communication skills.

    Strategists assist with writing surveys, screeners, discussion guides and reports that synthesize the story from the data.  Candidates should demonstrate ability to create deliverables that are well-written, and contain strong conclusions and recommendations which reflect the goals of the client. 

    Qualitative Project Management: Assist with recruiting process management to ensure high quality participants.  Coordinate with facilities to ensure appropriate room set-ups.  Manage clients in the backroom during qualitative projects. Edit video/audio as needed.  Help conduct one-on-one interviews.

    Quantitative Project Management: Manage field house and sample providers for timely and accurate programming and data collection.  Test survey links to ensure accurate logic and formatting.  Develop banner plans and work with data processing for timely delivery of cross tabs and coding.  Assist with analysis and report writing.

    The ideal candidate will:

           Have 2-5 years of experience in marketing research.

    Northwest Insights is a market research firm that specializes in qualitative research for a variety of clients, from high-tech to consumer package goods. We organize research studies in which participants are recruited to give their feedback on new products/services/advertising and get paid for their time and opinions. 

    We are looking for an enthusiastic, organized individual to join our team as the Call Center Administrative Lead. This person will assist with supervising our hourly, part-time call center recruiting team and help the project management team with keeping projects on track.

    Responsibilities

    • Communicate and work closely with the Lead Administrative Supervisor in areas of production such as scheduling, sample and quota management, editing and data entry, for evening shift of hourly part time employees
    • Work with Lead Administrative Supervisor on quality control, monitoring, training, recruiter feedback, and general admin tasks
    • During slower times or when needed this position’s main function is to recruit for research studies

    Qualifications

    • High attention to detail
    • Strong PC skills
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks calmly and efficiently
    • Call center or market research experience are ideal, but not required
    • Ability to work well in a team environment

    Job Hours

    • Monday thru Thursday 2:00pm to 10:00pm (days off are Friday and Saturday)

    Market Research Analyst (R17-371)

    This position primarily provides ad hoc, customized market research support for PGE. This involves, but is not limited to the following:

    Analysis for Insights

    As an analyst, you will analyze data and findings to drive product development projects linked to customer and market needs. You will identify potential unmet customer needs that form the basis for new product/feature offerings. You will integrate customer and market data from multiple sources to generate and present customer-centric insights that provide actionable business recommendations to all levels of management

    You will:

    Assemble complex sets of data, using industry tools to generate a deep understanding of customer behavior.

    Perform cohort analysis, segmentation, and tracking of customer behavior patterns to generate understanding of customer engagement, retention, attitudes and behavior

    Use personas in your analysis to inform on customer journey maps both inside and outside established products, identifying product improvement opportunities that increase program adoption

    Assess trends and present insights and recommendations to both client and program management, highlighting opportunities to maximize marketing effectiveness

    Develop visual interpretation of data

    Project Management

    As a project manager, you will:

    Work with internal clients to ensure that diverse needs are identified and covered within the scope of each project

    Manage all aspects of the project through critical project phases, including:

    Issuing RFPs, selecting and managing vendors, where relevant:

    Solicit and assess bids

    Ensure vendor implements approved work plan and delivers on scope, on schedule and on budget

    You will also manage and report from syndicated or existing research, which includes:

    Providing ad-hoc consultation, project management and analytics services for a wide range of internal clients to support corporate strategies. Data sources include syndicated studies PGE purchases, ongoing tracking/transaction studies, PGE’s Marketing Database and other customer data gathered by PGE Operations and Product Management groups.

    Conducting in-depth data analyses using traditional and advanced methods (e.g. statistical techniques, text analytics) to find correlations, longitudinal trends, differences between market segments, etc.

    Continually looking for and implementing new ways of mining data to enhance PGE customer insights overall.

    You will ensure that the company makes the best use of our research findings by:

    Presenting findings to client teams in the way most likely to influence action (presentation, written analysis, team discussion/discovery).  

    Maintaining market research archives on the department SharePoint site.

    Participating as needed on Product Design or Customer Experience teams.

    Consulting with and supporting Market Managers on Market Team work.

    You will bring the following skills to our team:

    A Bachelor’s degree in business, mathematics, economics, social sciences or related field.

    Five-plus years of market research experience (qualitative and quantitative) including project management, analysis and results reporting.

    Thorough knowledge of market research methodologies and strong statistical analysis.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including visual depiction of insights and ideas.

    Confidence to take ownership of projects, to work independently from start to finish, and to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, sometimes with minimal existing documented process

    Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage detail work and communicate project status effectively to all levels

    Ability to work individually, or with other market research team members on projects

    Ability to create and present appropriately summarized, cross-functional findings and recommendations to multiple levels of internal audiences, including executives.

    Strong project management skills, with well-developed time management and multitasking skills.

    Affinity and ability to quickly learn and use new software applications. Prior experience with Qualtrics, Survey Monkey and Tableau software desirable.

    Skilled in PowerPoint and Word applications.

    Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and data manipulation - pivot tables, conditional statements, VLOOKUP, statistical packages, macros, correlations/regressions.

    Broad perspective on utility business is advantageous.

    Client-side experience is advantageous.

    A Valid Driver’s license and a history of safe driving practices.

    Ability to carry up to 25 pounds up and down stairs.

    • An undergraduate degree in Marketing, Business or the Social Sciences
    • A minimum of 3 year’s relevant experience in consumer research, account planning or business planning.
    • Strong quantitative survey skills, including questionnaire and sample design.
    • Strong analytical skills; able to dis-aggregate and analyze problems, probe underlying questions, beliefs and assumptions, analyze issues from multiple perspectives.
    • Dynamic communicator; demonstrated ability to find compelling ways to bring information to life, tailoring the approach to the audience for maximum effect.
    • Skilled collaborator; able build successful relationships with cross-functional internal teams, external agency partners, and third parties.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills and have great attention to detail; able to effectively prioritize and manage multiple priorities against multiple (tight) timelines, at once.
    • Ability to thrive in a fluid, dynamic environment and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
    • Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding goals.
