Insight Space, a division of Blink, is a market research firm that specializes in qualitative research services for variety of clients from technology to consumer package goods. We organize research studies in which participants are recruited to give their feedback on new products/services/advertising and get paid for their time and opinions.

We are seeking a National Technical Field Manager to collaborate with internal Blink project teams, clients, and external vendors on national recruiting projects, with an emphasis on projects in the technology sector. The Field Manager will be responsible for selecting and managing external vendor partners as they recruit for and provide other services to Blink research studies. In addition, the field manager will manage communications, bids, logistics, and follow-through with external recruiters and research facilities.

  • Partner with Blink project teams; serving as an internal consultant regarding participant recruiting and external partner options, prospective challenges, and timely solutions
  • Understand client recruiting needs in the technology sector and the roles of people working in technology such as cloud developers, security operations professionals, and data scientists.
  • Advise project teams and external fieldwork partners regarding recruit feasibility, including proposed fielding schedules, locations, and audiences
  • Assist project teams with new business proposals by requesting, negotiating, and analyzing external partner bids, and using costs to estimate pricing for proposals
  • Select external fieldwork partners based on service level, ability to deliver quality participants, timeline, recruiting approach, and cost.
  • Manage field operations for domestic and international qualitative research projects, including overseeing recruiting, managing logistics, and acting as a liaison between external partners and project teams.
  • Liaise with external fieldwork partners to ensure quality results, including escalating and working to resolve recruiting problems as they occur.
  • Support screener development and maintain a repository of screener templates.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with external fieldwork partners (e.g. facilities, recruiters, moderators, translators); overseeing partner availability and performance.
  • Build personal knowledge of both traditional qualitative recruiters as well as emerging online methods.
  • Proactively seek and identify new potential external partners as needed to meet project needs; build and maintain a network and internal database of domestic and international partners.
  • Seek and track feedback from internal Blink teams on quality of external partner recruits.
  • Managing internal approval processes and reconciling invoices


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a qualitative research field management role for a market research firm or on the external partner side.
  • Experience working in the tech industry.
  • Deep understanding of client-side needs and operations.
  • Experience within event planning and management, is a plus.
  • Interest in and understanding of qualitative market research and logistics management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of online recruiting platforms/systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to learn quickly and think creatively.
  • Strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, within a fast-paced environment with numerous complex and simultaneous studies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and projects at a time, delivering accurate, top-quality work with quick turnaround and limited supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel periodically.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and Power Point.
