We had a great luncheon yesterday! It was a panel on accessibility. Our panel members shared that 15% of the population has some type of disability. Although there are a wide range of disabilities many examples were shared regarding usability testing with those who are blind or deaf.
My personal favorite hint of the day was to include survey instructions for those using a screen reader in white font. The seeing person will not see them (white font on a white screen), while those using a screen reader will have the additional instructions read to them.
Many thanks to our luncheon sponsor Opinions Ltd who supported the association financially and provided bags and pens to those in attendance.
