We had a great luncheon yesterday!  It was a panel on accessibility.  Our panel members shared that 15% of the population has some type of disability.  Although there are a wide range of disabilities many examples were shared regarding usability testing with those who are blind or deaf.

My personal favorite hint of the day was to include survey instructions for those using a screen reader in white font.  The seeing person will not see them (white font on a white screen), while those using a screen reader will have the additional instructions read to them.

Now is the time to join or renew your membership for the 2024-2025 membership year!

Renewing is a quick 4 step process:

  1. Log into your account, using the “Login” button on your homepage menu
  2. Once logged in, click on “My Profile”
  3. Then, navigate to your “Subscriptions”. This is where you can view your current and past memberships.
  4. Click on the 3 dots next to your expiring membership, and hit “Renew”

Then you are all renewed for the next calendar year, and you retain your profile information, so you don’t have to re-enter it!
